Net Effect was formed in response to customer demand for quality I.T. services within the Bay of Plenty region in early 2002. Reflecting our desire to create an I.T. Solution Provider with its foundation on solid business principles and technical expertise. This desire is backed with over twenty three years of real world experience within the industry here in the Bay of Plenty, Auckland and contracting in the UK.

While we are primarily focused on the need for quality technical services, we also understand that trying to be “Everything to Everybody” doesn't do you any good either. I've worked for companies in the past that struggled to meet the demands of a large client base. It doesn't take too long before clients start to migrate “en mass”. We strive to provide excellent service to a small number of faithful clients.

We are also very aware of the importance of our relationship with you and the trust you place in us. Identifying and nurturing these relationships within the business community requires us to maintain honesty and accountability to you – our client.

We like to be proactive in our approach to I.T. Support. Aside from assisting with growth & common issues that arise, we like to monitor Server health regularly, apply critical Microsoft patches before the bugs hit and prove backup functionality regularly. A little extra effort on our part may ensure a more trouble free run from your hardware and software investment.

HP Servers and Desktops have proven themselves to be a reliable base for New Zealand businesses and is our preferred hardware. Equipment and software from almost all manufacturers is available, also should you require, Rental and Leasing options are avilable.

We offer some specific Linux solutions where we feel they offer you a real advantage and cost savings. We currently offer Linux Virtual Server hosts for your Private Cloud, 'Small Business Server' alternatives running Linux and custom inhouse Spam Management solutions.

Open Source software, in our view, will become a more sought after and cost effective Technology base for Small Business in New Zealand.
